Research

Mohsen has a dual bachelors degree in computer software engineering and civil engineering. After completing his maters degree at Caltech in civil engineering and applied mechanics he became interested in the field of computational protein design. Mohsen joined the Mayo Lab in July 2008 with the following research interests:

*High resolution refinement of protein structures
*Design and development of models for protein aggregation and partially folded states
*Design and development of knowledge based repositories based on empirical data
*Design and development of evolutionary optimization algorithims to be applied on protein design problems
*Automatic extraction of underlying physical rules of protein folding using evolutionary algorithms and formal knowledge representation
